The Present Simple Tense
Let's read about a daily routine!
I wake up at 7 a.m. every day. My sister takes the bus to school. We both eat breakfast together before we leave. Our dad works from home, so he starts his day a little later. They love their morning coffee.
When to Use the Present Simple

Habits and Routines: For things you do regularly.
Example: "I drink coffee every morning." -
Facts and General Truths: For things that are always true.
Example: "The sun rises in the east." -
Schedules and Timetables: For future events that are part of a fixed schedule.
Example: "The train leaves at 8:00 a.m."
Forming the Present Simple
The verb form changes depending on the subject.
Affirmative (+)

For I, You, We, They, use the base form of the verb.
Example: "I play soccer." -
For He, She, It, add -s or -es to the base verb.
Example: "He plays soccer."
Negative (-)
Use the auxiliary verbs do or does + not + the base verb.

For I, You, We, They, use do not or don't.
Example: "We do not like coffee." -
For He, She, It, use does not or doesn't.
Example: "She doesn't speak Spanish."
Interrogative (?)
Use Do or Does at the beginning of the sentence + the base verb.

Example: "Do you like pizza?" -
For He, She, It, use Does.
Example: "Does he live in New York?"
